DMV Mobile Office Returns to Virginia Union University Campus
DMV 2 Go to Serve Students, Faculty and Staff

RICHMOND— DMV’s Richmond-based mobile customer service center, called DMV 2 Go, is returning to Virginia Union University, offering another convenient method for college students and university faculty and staff to do their DMV business.

DMV 2 Go will be open for business on the campus of Virginia Union University at 1500 North Lombardy Street across from the Henderson Center, on Tuesday, February 7 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

"We launched this convenient service for Virginia Union students, faculty and staff back in November with great success," said DMV Commissioner Richard D. Holcomb. “During that visit, DMV staff served more than 100 customers conducting about 60 transactions and answering questions for students.  We are expecting a similar turnout for this visit.”

The handicapped-accessible full service office provides all DMV transactions including driver's licenses and ID cards, disabled parking placards, vehicle titles, license plates and decals. In addition, if Virginians have recently moved, which is often the case in a college community, they can stop in to update their addresses on their DMV record and also update voter registration and organ donor information. Customers can search for other state services through a wireless Virginia Internet portal.

Customers are encouraged to research and bring the required documents to complete their transactions.  To determine what documents are needed, use the interactive document guide at www.dmvNOW.com.
