Virginia Union Announces Groundbreaking First New Building in 15 Years
(Richmond, VA) – Virginia Union University will break ground on the new Robert J. Brown Living and Learning Center on December 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
The Center is a $15 million complex consisting of a conference and seminar facility and residential suites supporting 240 beds.
The new building, which will sit where the campus basketball courts now stand, will be the first new construction since the L. Douglas Wilder Library and Learning Resource Center in 1997.
The last residence hall on the Lombardy Street campus was built in 1966.
