VUU Hosts Dr. Lucille M. Brown Community Youth Bowl

More than 600 students turned out to participate in the annual Lucille M. Brown Community Youth Bowl held September 29, 2012. Students traveled to campus with their chaperones and received the opportunity to meet Dr. Lucille M. Brown, VUU Board Member and Former Superintendent for Richmond City Public Schools. Students also met the VUU Football Team, several student athletes, Mr. Virginia Union University and attended the VUU football game against Livingstone College. Elementary students participated in a poster competition, while middle and high school students competed in an essay writing contest. John Rolfe Middle School, in Henrico County, received the award for most students in attendance.
