WIN SETS UP SHOWDOWN WITH ELIZABETH CITY STATE

MD. -- Elihu Smith ran for 155 yards, and Lamar Little
threw for 98 yards and a touchdown to lead Virginia
Union to a 9-7 win against Bowie State on Saturday.
Virginia Union missed the extra point, but scored again
on a 43-yard field goal by Hugo Flores-Diaz in the second
quarter, giving Virginia Union a 9-0 lead.
Bowie
State scored in the third quarter on a 1-yard run by
Peter Mensah, as Bowie State went 76 yards in four plays
to pull within two points.
But Bowie State couldn't score again.
