PROGRAM
ASSISTANT/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST- OFFICE OF INSTITUTIONAL
EFFECTIVENESS AND COMPLIANCE (Effective, October 1,
2007)
The Program Manager/Technical Specialist under general
supervision keys and verifies data from a variety of
source documents for input into University computing
systems utilizing specialized equipment, software and
desktop PC. The principal emphasis is on working independently
at the highest technical level in all phases of data
entry activity. He/She operates data conversion equipment
to generate and/or verify a large variety of subject
matter information from many types of source documents.
Assumes responsibilities for providing data for major
reports, internal and external. Assists the Executive
Director of Institutional Effectiveness in collecting
and generating data for reporting. Assists in developing
reports to communicate outcomes of programs and maintains
documentation of format, procedures, outcomes, and programs.
Required
Education and Experience: Requires a minimum
of a Bachelor’s Degree with five years experience
in data processing, office management, report writing,
and data analysis. Requires knowledge of equipment and
operations; skill in operation of alphanumerical key
recording devices; knowledge of office practices and
principles; and, the ability to communicate and interact
with faculty, staff, and students.
