Dr. Joy
Goodrich is Virginia Union University’s Vice
President for Research, Planning, and Special Programming.
She received her Ed. D. in Special Needs from Virginia
Polytechnic Institute and State University, her M.S.
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
in Vocational Education, and her B.S. from Medical
College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University
in Health Information Management. She is responsible
for coordinating the continuing accreditation process
in a timely matter. |

Dr.
John Kinney is Dean of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor
School of Theology at Virginia Union University.
Dr. Kinney received his undergraduate and graduate
degrees from Marshall University and Virginia Union
University School of Theology. His Ph.D. was obtained
from Columbia University/Union Theological Seminary
in New York. Dr. Kinney established the Doctor of
Ministry Program at the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School
of Theology and expanded the Master of Divinity
and Continuing Education programs.

Dr. Delores
W. Scott, Vice President for Student Affairs, is a
native of Farmville, Va. She received a Bachelor of
Arts in Social Work from Virginia Union University,
a Masters of Education in counseling from Virginia
State University, and a doctorate in College Student
Personnel Services from Virginia Tech. Her employment
experiences include: serving at Virginia State University,
Longwood College, Virginia Tech, and since Fall 2000,
Virginia Union University. Her work experiences include
admissions, senior citizen support, and academic support
for high school and college students, and leading
the Division of Student Affairs at Virginia Union
University. |

Ms. Vanessa Moody
Coombs is Virginia Union University’s Vice President for
University Relations. She has served the University in various
capacities since 1999, including Chair of the Mass Communications
Department, Head of the Humanities Division, and Vice President
for Academic Affairs. Ms. Coombs received her Juris Doctorate
from Georgetown University Law Center, her Master of Arts degree
in Journalism from The University of Michigan, and her Bachelor
of Arts degree in Mass Media Arts from Hampton University. |
