WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN MEAMP?

MEAMP is open to all undergraduate ethnic minority students (Hispanic, African-American, American-Indian, Alaskan Native, and Pacific Islander) who are working toward a B.S. degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM). The student(s) must meet the following requirements:

HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES:

• Acceptance by a MEAMP institution.
• Minimum high school grade point average of 3.0
• Demonstrated interest in STEM disciplines.
• Favorable recommendations by high school science teachers.
• Persuasive personal statement.

MATRICULATING STUDENTS:

• Attending a MEAMP institution
• Minimum grade point average of 2.5 with a grade point average of 2.8 in major
• Demonstrated interest in the STEM discipline.
