Dr. Dan E. Anekwu, CPA, is an Associate Professor in the Sydney Lewis School of Business at Virginia Union University. Dr. Anekwu received his DBA in business administration from Argosy University in 2008. His major is in the field of accounting, with minor in management information systems. Dr. Anekwu also has a Master of Accountancy degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Jackson State University. Prior to joining the faculty at Sydney Lewis School of Business, Dr. Anekwu has held controller position at a university and a vice president/CFO position at a college. Dr. Anekwu is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Maryland and is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA), an organization through which he obtains many of the continuing professional education credits for licensure as a CPA.

Dr. LaTrelle Green’s professional credentials include a B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from the Virginia Commonwealth University in 1981, a Masters of Science in Administration with a concentration in Information Resource Management from the Central Michigan University in 1999, and a D.Sc. in Software Engineering from the George Washington University in 2006. As an Associate Professor and former Director of Information Technology at VUU, she has over 25 years of teaching and corporate computer programming consulting experience.
Ms. Antoinette Lloyd has over twenty years of teaching experience in higher education at both Virginia Union University and East Carolina University. Courses taught include marketing management, advertising, salesmanship, introduction to business small enterprise marketing and business-to-business marketing. She has a BS from North Carolina Central University and a MBA from East Carolina University. She has been a mentor and advisor to the Marketing Club of the Sydney Lewis School of Business and was chair of the Management department for 15 years. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Sydney Lewis School of Business..

Dr. Kenneth M. Moss is Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship Management in the Sydney Lewis School of Business.  He holds a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from Regent University, a Master of Science in Management from Troy University, and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from Columbus State University.  He is the CEO and co-founder of Strategic Leadership Development Group, LLC, a consulting firm that specializes in organizational and leadership development and career management.

 
 
 
 
   
Ms. Patricia Murray, Assistant Professor, has been a faculty member of the Sydney Lewis School of Business since 1989, teaching in the Management Department. She is presently recognized by her students for the design of her MGT 199-Ethics & Professional Development course. Each week the students look forward to holding a formal meeting, with an agenda, as a part of the class’ process and procedure. Ms. Murray is also known by students across the disciplines as the Coach of the HONDA Campus All-Star Challenge (HCASC) program. HCASC, sponsored by the Honda Motor Corporation, is an academic question and answer game played between two 4-member teams. Ms. Murray received her B.S. degree from Florida A&M University and her MBA from Alabama A&M University.

Dr. Adelaja O. Odutola, Associate Professor, is the Dean of the Sydney Lewis School of Business. His administrative experiences include Chair, Management Team, SLSB, and President of the University Senate. He has been a faculty member at Virginia Union University since 1983, with approximately 20 years of teaching experience and presentation of several papers in economic and social related issues. Courses taught include Principles of Economics, Principles of Finance, Money and Banking, and International Trade and Finance. Dr. Odutola received his Ph.D. from Howard University, Doctor of Ministry and Doctor of Biblical Exegesis, F. L. Ray Biblical Institute, his M.A. from Virginia State University, and his B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary.

Dr. Judith Powell is an associate professor of business administration at Virginia Union University. She teaches global business, upper level marketing courses and strategic management. Her international experiences include a six week study tour of Poland, Yugoslavia and the Soviet Union in 1989 focused on internationalizing university curriculum. She was also one of seven U.S. delegates to the Symposium on Trade and Joint Ventures sponsored by the Forum for U.S./Soviet dialogue. In 1995, she traveled to Prague to analyze business opportunities for Lawyers’ Title Insurance Corporation as the Czech Republic privatized land registration. In 1999 and 2002 she visited Ghana examining programs for vocational education and training of market women. Dr. Powell earned the Ph.D. degree from Georgia State University; the M.S. degree from University of North Carolina, Greensboro; and the A.B. degree from Wesleyan College.
Ms. Yvonne Martin Simmons is an assistant professor in the Sydney Lewis School of Business. She has been a member of the Virginia Union University faculty for more than 20 years. Ms. Simmons received her Master of Science degree in Business Education from North Carolina University in 1974 and her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Education from North Carolina Central University in 1962.
Dr. H.P. Singh-Sandhu is An Associate Professor of Economics in The Sydney Lewis School of Business. Dr. Singh-Sandhu has traveled to China as an academic scholar to teach two summers at Capital University Beijeng. Degrees earned include two Bachelor of Arts Degrees from Punjab University and Knoxville College, and two Masters Degrees in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University; and a Doctorate in Education from he University Of Tennessee. His Areas of Specialization Include Microeconomics, Money & Banking, Investments, Principles of Economics and International Trade.
Dr. Philip H. Umansky, Ph.D., CPA, is Associate Professor of Business in the Sydney Lewis School of Business at Virginia Union University. Dr. Umansky received his Ph.D. in business from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond Virginia in 1993. His major is in the field of accounting, with minors in finance and economics. Dr. Umansky also has a Master of Accountancy degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech. Dr. Umansky is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has taught CPA review courses with Kaplan CPA Review. In addition, Dr. Umansky is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), an organization through which he obtains many of the continuing professional education credits for licensure as a CPA. Dr. Umansky’s professional background prior to education was in auditing.
Ms. Bynetta Wiggins’ professional credentials include a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce from North Carolina Central University with a major in Business Education and a minor in Education in 1969. Ms. Wiggins was also awarded a Master of Education degree in Business Education from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1971. As an assistant professor, she has over thirty years of teaching and consulting experience.
