Job title: Dorm/Activities Supervisor
Immediate Supervisor: Center for Undergraduate Studies (Dorm Director & Summer Bridge Director)

Position Summary:

The Dorm Supervisor is responsible for all activities that take place in the dorm from 8:00 pm to 7:30 am. The Activities Supervisor is responsible for all sporting events.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise the dorm
• Plan all sports activities
• Must maintain discipline and respect VUU with dignity
• Must respect each student at all times
• Support transportation of students
• Responsible for supervising and maintaining clean and orderly premises

Scope of Responsibility:

The Dorm Supervisor is responsible for all students while in the dorm.

Decision-making Authority:

In consultation with the Summer Bridge Director, the Dorm/Activities Supervisors helps to carry out the week’s activities and supervises the student’s time.

Performance Measurement:

The primary measure of success is the safety of each individual student under the supervision of the Dorm/Activities Supervisor. Improvement is measure by enhanced or improved self-esteem, self-discipline, social skills, academic achievement and spiritual growth of the student.

Job Specifications: The Dorm/Activities Supervisor is an adult willing to spend the evening in the dorm. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, be flexible, and commit to a rigorous schedule.
