Engage and encourage
alumni to support the Virginia Union University and help to
develop and strengthen their bond with the institution.
Responsibilities
of the Office of Alumni Relations:

Serve as the liaison between the University, the alumni
board and the alumni population

Represent the University and attend alumni sponsored events

Coordinate and manage the Pre-Alumni Council
-
Assist
and support the Young Alumni Society
-
Organize
events to encourage financial support to the University
from the alumni
-
Organize alumni chapters
-
Assist with the coordination Homecoming and Reunions
-
Keep the alumni abreast of happenings at the University
-
Maintain
effective communication with the alumni via Newsletters
and on-line communities
-
Provide support to the National Alumni Association, affinity
groups and alumni chapters
-
Maintain and update the Alumni Database
