ASSISTANT/ ASSOCIATE ART PROFESSOR
Appointment date: August 2012
The Department of Fine Arts is currently seeking applications for a full time, non-tenure tract Assistant or Associate Professor of Art to begin August 2012. The position is for a nine-month appointment.
Minimum Qualifications: A terminal degree (Ph.D.) is desired but a Masters degree from a regionally accredited institution is required. Official copies of college transcripts must be on file by the appointment date for the successful candidate selected. Teaching experience, service, and record of scholarly activity appropriate to the rank is desirable.
Knowledge/Skills and Abilities: A dynamic individual to teach core and advanced undergraduate art and humanities courses. In addition to teaching, the position entails undergraduate student advising; active participation on department, college and university committees; service learning/internship activities; and active involvement in scholarly activities such as publishing and obtaining grants. Other duties may be assigned as needed, and excellence in teaching, research, and service is required for future promotion and tenure.
