PROGRAM ASSISTANT/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST- OFFICE OF CONTINUING AND PROFESSIONAL STUDIES (Effective, October 1, 2007)

The Program Manager/Technical Specialist will be primarily responsibility for the daily operation of the laboratories for distance education. He/She will work closely with the University’s technical staff to ensure that the logistics for conducting continuing and distance education, and professional studies programs have been implemented. He/She will also assist the Director in the day-to-day management of the Office’s initiatives and will be responsible for office communications, data management, and report development. The Program Manager/Technical Specialist will assist in providing training, when appropriate.

Required Education and Experience: Must possess a master’s degree in Instructional Technology, Information Technology, Mass Media Arts, or a Related Area. Program management and program development experience are required. Also, experience in working with technology is a must.
