What is the relationship of the Leadership Development Program to
the Division of Student Affairs?
The Leadership
Development Program is an initiative sponsored by the Division of
Student Affairs and funded by the Title III program. The Director
of Student Leadership Development will facilitate the program.

will be available to members of the Leadership Development Program?
Activities will include on and off campus seminars, workshops, and conferences.
You will also have the opportunity to be appointed to various university
committees.

Leadership Development Program?
The minimum GPA required
to join the Leadership Development Program is 2.5 for upper classman.
Freshmen are encouraged to apply.

You may participate in the Leadership Development Program for your
entire collegiate career at Virginia Union University.

program?
Forty (40) students will participate in the program. Students will
be selected for the program in the fall semester.

- Exemplary leadership
- No disciplinary action
- Collegial and peer support and respect
- Participation in University wide committees
- Develop and implement at least one student activity or program each
semester
- Assist in identifying new leaders
- Mentor emerging leaders
- Active use of the VUU email system and other technology
- Attend all required activities
- Complete a minimum of 60 community service hours on and/or off campus
