The Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE)
program offers a two-year professional degree with the
primary purpose of equipping persons for competent
leadership in various forms of educational ministry in
congregations and other religious institutions. The MACE
program is also offered in a one-year course design for
students who have completed a Master of Divinity degree.
The MACE course of study is offered in the Non-Traditional
Hour (NTH) program format. The NTH school year is
divided into four terms of 10 weeks each: Fall, Winter,
Spring, and Summer. MACE courses are held Friday (6:30
p.m. to 10:30 p.m.) and Saturday (8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.).
Course layout also includes year long courses. Eighteen (18)
courses are required for the two-year program and nine (9)
courses for the one-year program. Elective credit can be met
in a variety of ways with advisor guidance.
Students entering the two year program must have an earned
baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with the
demonstrated capacity for graduate study and evident fitness
for ministry. Students entering the one year program must
have earned a M.Div. from an accredited institution. The
admission process varies among programs so please contact
