Admission Requirements
Master of Arts in Christian Education – Two Year Program
  ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Any person holding the baccalaureate degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university is eligible to apply for admission to the course of study leading to the Master of Arts in Christian Education. 
 
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
            Applicants must submit official sealed transcripts from all colleges and universities you have attended since graduating from high school. Please note previous graduates of Virginia Union University must also submit an official transcript.

A recommendation from his/her pastor, college professor or employer, and two other persons who can verify the character and fitness for ministry of the applicant is also required. Evidence must be shown of intellectual preparedness to do graduate work, promise of leadership skills, high ideals and character, and consecration to the work of ministry.

To support the request for admission to the course of study, the applicant must submit a clear statement indicating why they wish to pursue a Master of Divinity Degree. All applicants must submit an application form from the web or The STVU Office of Admissions, along with a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Applications may be submitted at any time, but application review will be subject to the scheduled application deadlines for admission during a given term. Following a review of these documents by the Admissions Review Committee, the student will be notified of the action taken.
 
ADMISSIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
            International applicants must submit all admission requirements stated above. Applicants requesting an I-20 Form must submit the Financial Statement for International Students which should indicate resources to cover the cost of attendance.  A bank statement on official bank letterhead certifying the funds available or a signed statement by the sponsor(s) should be submitted as well.  International monies must show the appropriate conversion rates to the US dollar.  The I-20 will be issued after the applicant is admitted to the University, and has submitted the following forms: Financial Statement, Residential Form, and Immunization Form.

Master of Arts in Christian Education – One Year Program

Any person holding the Master of Divinity degree from an accredited college or university is eligible to apply for admission to the course of study leading to the one-year Master of Arts in Christian Education. Applicants must submit official sealed transcripts from the seminary the graduated from Please note previous graduates of STVU must also submit an official transcript.

 A recommendation from his/her pastor and one other person who can verify the character and fitness for ministry of the applicant is also required. All applicants must submit an application form from The STVU Office of Graduate Admissions, along with a non-refundable fee of $25.00. Applications may be submitted at any time, but application review will be subject to the scheduled application deadlines for admission. Applicants to the MACE are only considered once a year for the fall term.  Following a review of these documents by the Admissions Review Committee, the student will be notified of the action taken.

If the applicant graduated from STVU within three years of the anticipated enrollment date, the applicant does not have to submit recommendations or the $25.00 application fee).
