Internal Goals
(to improve SGA)

Goal 1. Improve orientation and training for new SGA members.

Strategies
(a) Set up a mentoring program matching new SGA members with experienced members by 9/2006.
(b) Involve member(s) of the VUU Administration in the training by 9/2006.
(c) Create training resources, such as manuals by 4/2007.
(d) Create a program for students aspiring to join the SGA attend several meetings prior to running or applying by 1/2007.

Goal 2. Improve SGA’s performance in project planning and follow through.

Strategies
(a) The Vice President, Executive Secretary, Executive Assistant to the President, and Commuter Student Senator will work together to compile monthly reports of all SGA progress on projects by 12/2006.
(b) Hold SGA members to higher standards when it comes to submitting reports
(c) Develop and implement a penalties for non-compliant officers
(d) Publish reports to the student body so students can hold SGA accountable by 12/2006.

Goal 3. Maintain SGA momentum throughout the year.

Strategies
(a) Publicize SGA accomplishments to keep morale high monthly beginning 10/2006.
(b) Create opportunities for SGA members to hand out together (outside of meetings) by 12/2006.
(c) Feature SGA in each issue of the VUU Informer by 9/2006.
(d) Highlight SGA Officers in each issue of the SGA Newsletter by 10/2006.

Goal 4. Improve SGA’s communication with the students it serves.

Strategies
(a) Feature a student of the month in each issue of the SGA Newsletter by 9/2006.
(b) Publish SGA meeting agendas in the Panthers Den by 9/2006.
(c) Utilize the student media to invite students to participate in SGA activities and projects by 12/2006.
(d) Require senate members to attend a meeting of each class they represent once each month by
