The Teacher Licensure Program Admissions

The Syphax School of Education, Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies offers a post-baccalaureate program of professional studies leading to licensure as approved by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The time schedule for classes taught on campus is on Fridays: 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays in the Department of Teacher Education and IDS (Martin E. Gray Hall).

EDU 341- Emergent Literacy to start on April 27, 2012 is now closed.
EDU 340- Computer and Technology in Education course scheduled for April 27, 2012 to May 12 has been cancelled.

STEPS FOR ADMISSION AND REGISTRATION
The Teacher Licensure Program Admissions Steps (New Students):
- Download a copy of the 2011-2012 Weekend College Schedule.
- Download a copy of the Weekend College Handbook.
- Apply for admission to the program (See Licensure Program Admission Application and Course Application Form Download Above).
Pay tuition in the Cashier’s Office, CD King Hall, Lower Level (Telephone: 804-342-3887) on or before the start of each course.
Tuition for courses taken Spring Semester 2012 and beyond will only be collected in the Cashier’s Office.
Contact the Coordinator of the Weekend College at 804-257-5741 or 804-257-5742 regarding admission to the program. Please visit us in room 111 or 112, Martin E. Gray.

- Download a copy of the 2011-2012 Weekend College Schedule.
- Complete the ‘Course Application’ by clicking the registration link below.
- Pay tuition in the Cashier’s Office, CD King Hall, Lower Level (Telephone: 804-342-3887) on or before the start of each course.
- Download a copy of the required textbook list and attend classes.
