The Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology

Student Life - Student Formation Events

The objectives of the Community Formation Events:

  • To entertain candid discussions of relevant issues that challenge students to consider practical issues as well as theological and intellectual ones
  • To explore options that encourage students to put their faith into contextual praxis

Student formation events are sponsored by the Theologue Fellowship and the Office of Student Services, twice monthly during the academic year. The discussions are led by guest facilitators including former graduates, local pastors, and community representatives. Examples of past Community Formation events include the following: Conflict Resolution in the Church and Home, Financial Planning, Male/Female Relationships in the Ministry, and How to Study for Graduate School.
