Virginia Union University is celebrating its 150th Anniversary during the 2014 - 2015 academic year.  Please join us on April 9, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. for our Rededication and Prayer Service. We will begin at the site of Lumpkin's Jail, where Virginia Union was founded, then caravan to Ebenezer Baptist Church, and then march to Coburn Hall on the campus of Virginia Union University for a major Prayer Service. Click on the Calendar of Events button for the latest information.

VUU Rededication and Prayer Service

Buses will leave the Virginia Union University campus located at 1500 North Lombardy Street in Richmond at 8:30 a.m. for a three-part ceremony. The first stop is the site of the old Lumpkin's Jail in Shockoe Bottom where a short program honoring the university's Founding Fathers will be held beginning at 9:00 a.m.  The group will then move to Ebenezer Baptist Church on Leigh Street. From there a rededication march to Coburn Hall on VUU'S main campus will take place.
