The Virginia Union University Division of Student Development thanks the students of Virginia Union University (VUU) for their continued patience and understanding as we all work together to respond to this international pandemic, caused by COVID-19. Our team has engaged with the Student Government Association throughout this time, and we have followed the state and national recommendations and legislation regarding this crisis.

It is in this context, that we write to inform you that VUU has been approved for federal emergency relief aid due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act provides colleges and universities funding in response to this health crisis. A portion of the funding is specifically reserved to help with student needs.

All students, both graduate and undergraduate, enrolled at VUU during the Spring 2020 semester are eligible to apply. If you have unmet needs due to COVID-19, and would like to request assistance you must complete the online application. You will need to have an active VUU email account to complete the form. Please respond by May 1, 2020, and allow 5-7 business days for our team to respond regarding the outcome of your application.

If you would like more information about the CARES Act, please click here.

Students, we have you on our minds each and every day, and campus is just not the same without you, but we know that you are working diligently to complete this academic semester #VUUStrong.
