Measure 1a Impact
Measure 1b Effectiveness on K-12 student learning
The Commonwealth of Virginia does not provide EPPs with data related to CAEP Standard R4.1. The EPP has implemented a case study methodology for visiting and evaluating completers in their roles as professional educators to explore the impact on K-12 student learning and effectiveness. The evaluations will be conducted by Teacher Education Program faculty trained in EPP assessment and familiar with the completer's licensure program.
(2023-2024) – The EPP is in collaboration with VEAC for the collection and data analysis for Employer & Alumni Satisfaction. Due to the absence of program completers as defined by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) for this reporting period, zero data is reported.
The EPP reports candidate competency at completion with multiple indicators across monitoring gates: State Licensure Assessment Results, Graduation GPA, Candidate Disposition Exit, and Title II Reports.
(2023-2024) – A total of 6 candidates met degree requirements but did not achieve VDOE completer licensure status. Among those candidates in 2023-2024, 6 completed the initial program. Secondary 1 - graduates, Elementary Education 2 - graduates, and 3 - Special Education.
The EPP uses the list of ERSSE Teacher Education Program completers who a) graduated with the degree in their program and b) completed all licensure requirements set forth by the VDOE to determine completer rates for hiring. Additionally, the EPP cross-references annual licensure data provided by the Virginia Department of Education with our internal records.
(2023-2024) – Hiring Rate of Completers: 33% (2) of the six completers were hired provisionally for positions for which they were prepared. Three (50%) of the 6 enrolled in graduate program immediately following graduation. Unable to determine employment for 1 graduate candidate.
