  • Instructor-Led Courses: Start monthly, follow a 6-week schedule, and learn with a cohort. Work on lessons anytime—no set login hours.
  • Self-Paced Courses: Get immediate access to all lessons and take up to 3 months to finish.

Transient

Complete this application if you are seeking to take courses at VUU without obtaining a degree. Reasons to become a transient student includes taking classes that will transfer credits back to the college where you are seeking a degree, to take college classes for pleasure or personal enrichment, to upgrade job skills, or to try out college before deciding if you want to get a degree. Transient students are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships.  Our GPA requirement for admissions is a 2.0 or above and your application materials must include:Your official, final high school transcriptAll official transcripts from any colleges attended.

Police Academy

The Richmond Police Academy and Virginia Union University have a Memorandum of Understanding.  Graduates of the Richmond Police Department Basic Police Officer Recruit Academy are eligible to be awarded 21 semester credit hours at VUU.  Your application materials must include the following:Official final high school transcript with 2.0 GPA or above or GED scores.

Teacher Licensure (Weekend College Program)

Complete this application if you are seeking endorsements in licensure areas as approved by the Virginia Department of Education. Your application materials must include an official, final college transcript with a Bachelor's degree conferred and 2.0 GPA or above. The endorsement areas are:Elementary Education- grades Pre-K – 6;Secondary Education- grades 6 – 12; orSpecial Education - grades Pre-K – 12.
