Biographical Sketch

Dr. Francis Mensah holds a PhD in Applied laser Physics from Howard University and a D.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Abomey-Calavi in Benin. He was a fellow of the Ecole Normale Superieure (Porto-Novo). In 2007, Dr. Francis Mensah was Lecturer of Physics in the Department of Physics and Astronomy. In 2008 he joined the Department of Mathematics at Howard University. Until 2013, he was seen very active in both the Physics and the Math department at Howard University, where he was performing teaching and research duties. He has been also an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of the District of Columbia from 2009 to 2011. Dr. Francis Mensah has taught various courses at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Even though his experimental research is in the field of Applied Physics, Dr. Mensah has never forgotten his strong background in mathematical physics and publishes in both theoretical and experimental journals. Dr. Francis Mensah is a member of the New York Academy of Sciences, Society of Rheology, the American Physical Society, the American Association for the Advancement of Sciences and the Optical Society of America, (OSA).
