Police Academy Students
The Richmond Police Academy and Virginia Union University have a Memorandum of Understanding. Graduates of the Richmond Police Department-Basic Police Officer Recruit Academy are eligible to be awarded 21 semester credit hours at VUU.
Military and Veteran Students
Union is committed to all military service students: active duty, reserve, guard, separated and retired. This also is inclusive of their dependents who are exploring VUU's academic degree programs. Prospective students who have received their High School Diploma or GED, may complete this application. If you are working towards soon receiving either diplomas you are a candidate to apply as a Freshmen at Virginia Union University. You qualify as an undergraduate if you have not received 30+ hours of coursework from another accredited college or university after completing high school or your GED program. All international students apply also as an undergraduate if you meet the previously mentioned criteria.

Transient
If you desire to complete coursework at VUU with out obtaining a degree, this option may be the right choose for you. Benefits as a transient student includes taking classes with the option of transfering your credit back to the college or university you began your degree journey. Also, if you enjoy personal enrichment, learning new skills, or want to get acclimated to college before making the full-time commitment, the transient journey can be your alternate route to obtaining your degree.
