If you have already earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and want to pursue an additional bachelor's degree in a different field of study, we have program options perfect for you.  Requirements before applying: 2.0 or above GPA, Submit your official college and or university transcript(s).

Police Academy Students
The Richmond Police Academy and Virginia Union University have a Memorandum of Understanding.  Graduates of the Richmond Police Department-Basic Police Officer Recruit Academy are eligible to be awarded 21 semester credit hours at VUU.

Military and Veteran Students
Union is committed to all military service students: active duty, reserve, guard, separated and retired. This also is inclusive of their dependents who are exploring VUU's academic degree programs. Staff members in Military/Veteran Services, University College, Health Services, and Workforce Development are here to help you with any challenges you encounter while working in or transitioning from a military to an academic environment. Click here for more details.

Prospective students who have received their High School Diploma or GED, may complete this application. If you are working towards soon receiving either diplomas you are a candidate to apply as a Freshmen at Virginia Union University. You qualify as an undergraduate if you have not received 30+ hours of coursework from another accredited college or university after completing high school or your GED program. All international students apply also as an undergraduate if you meet the previously mentioned criteria.

2.0 or above GPA

Submit your official high school transcript or GED scores.

Submit your Collegeboard ACT/SAT scores.

Transfer

You qualify to enroll as a transfer student if you have completed 30+ hours of coursework from another accredited college or university after completing high school or your GED program. All international students apply also as an undergraduate if you meet the previously mentioned criteria. Also complete a Confidential Transfer Request Form from other colleges and universities attended. 

Readmit

Complete this application if you have attended Virginia Union University as a degree seeking students but has not been currently enrolled for more than a semester and would like to return to VUU. Your application materials must include:

Non-Degree

Teacher Licensure - Weekend College Program
Complete this application if you are seeking endorsements in licensure areas as approved by the Virginia Department of Education. Your application materials must include an official, final college transcript with a Bachelor's degree conferred and 2.0 GPA or above.

The endorsement areas are:

Elementary Education- grades Pre-K – 6;

Secondary Education- grades 6 – 12; or

Special Education - grades Pre-K – 12.

Police Academy

Transient

If you desire to complete coursework at VUU with out obtaining a degree, this option may be the right choose for you. Benefits as a transient student includes taking classes with the option of transfering your credit back to the college or university you began your degree journey. Also, if you enjoy personal enrichment, learning new skills, or want to get acclimated to college before making the full-time commitment, the transient journey can be your alternate route to obtaining your degree. Transient students are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships. Enroll Here
