Freshman 

  • Complete this application if you have or will soon receive a high school diploma or General Education Development diploma and have not been enrolled for 30 or more semester hours of coursework at an accredited college or university since completing high school. Our GPA requirement for admissions is a 2.0 or above and your application materials must include:
    • An official high school transcript  
    • Your Collegeboard ACT or SAT scores.

  • Complete this application if you have completed 30 or more semester hours at another institution after you graduated from high school. Our GPA requirement for admissions is a 2.0 or above and your application materials must include:
    • Official, final transcript(s) from all colleges/universities you have attended
    • Confidential Transfer Request Form from all colleges and universities you have attended.

  • Complete this application if you have attended Virginia Union University as a degree seeking students but has not been currently enrolled for more than a semester and would like to return to VUU. Your application materials must include:

  • SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY (Masters & Doctorate)
    For those who want to deepen their spiritual experience and holistically answer the call to Christian ministry, the Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology is a national leader in theological education offering three graduate degree programs: Master of Divinity (M.Div.), Master of Arts in Christian Education (MACE), and Doctor of Ministry (D.Min). 

Non-Degree Seeking 

  • TRANSIENT
    Complete this application if you are seeking to take courses at VUU without obtaining a degree.  Reasons to become a transient student includes taking classes that will transfer credits back to the college where you are seeking a degree, to take college classes for pleasure or personal enrichment, to upgrade job skills, or to try out college before deciding if you want to get a degree. Transient students are not eligible for financial aid or scholarships.  Our GPA requirement for admissions is a 2.0 or above and your application materials must include:
    • Your official, final high school transcript
    • All official transcripts from any colleges attended.

  • POLICE ACADEMY
    The Richmond Police Academy and Virginia Union University have a Memorandum of Understanding.  Graduates of the Richmond Police Department Basic Police Officer Recruit Academy are eligible to be awarded 21 semester credit hours at VUU.  Your application materials must include the following:

  • TEACHER'S LICENSURE (Weekend College Program)
    Complete this application if you are seeking endorsements in licensure areas as approved by the Virginia Department of Education. Your application materials must include an official, final college transcript with a Bachelor's degree conferred and 2.0 GPA or above. The endorsement areas are:
    • Elementary Education- grades Pre-K – 6;
    • Secondary Education- grades 6 – 12; or
    • Special Education - grades Pre-K – 12.

Second Degree Seeking

  • Complete this application if you have already earned a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university and want to pursue an additional bachelor's degree in a different field of study. Our GPA requirement for admissions is a 2.0 or above and your application materials must include: 
    • Official, final transcript(s) from all colleges/universities attended
