For the Higher Education Leadership & Study of Historically Black Colleges and Universities series, we invite manuscripts from authors who are actively engaged in educational research focused on any aspect of Higher Education Leadership and the Study of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Authors may submit completed manuscripts or chapters of manuscripts that are still in progress. But all proposals should clearly indicate the aim of the research project, its social significance, and the author’s intended approach to argue and demonstrate their thesis, and the word count.
The proposal cover page must contain the author’s full contact information. For coauthored proposals, please list all authors’ contact information and indicate the corresponding author. Decisions will be communicated after the editorial board’s review of the proposal and a Manual for Authors will be provided to sole and corresponding authors.
At all stages, manuscripts must conform to APA (7th ed.). Following the submission of full chapter drafts, there will be a blind review process to determine the suitability of the proposed manuscript for the series. Once the editorial board members have reached a decision, their decision and feedback will be shared with the corresponding author(s).
Following peer review, manuscripts should be in Times New Roman 12, double spaced text, inclusive of title, abstract, and references and are to be submitted to the volume editors as a Microsoft Word email attachment. Graphics and images may be included (however, see Author Guidelines).
