Baptist General Convention Donates $10,000 to VUU

The Baptist General Convention of Virginia donated $10,000 to Virginia Union University during halftime of the VUU-Livingstone College football game on Saturday, September 29, at Hovey Field in Richmond, Va.

Baptist General Convention President Dr. Gregory Howard presented the check to representatives of Virginia Union.

VUU student and Baptist General Convention scholarship recipient, Joy Brown of Morningstar Baptist Church, was also on-hand for the check presentation.

Virginia Union University will match any scholarship that a church awards up to $3,000 to an accepted VUU student.  

VUU urges all church-goers to let their churches know to send their college-bound students to VUU and help build the next generation of leaders!
