Bowling Completes Regular Season at Fayetteville

The VUU Women's bowling team completed it regular season this past weekend at CIAA Event #3 held in Fayetteville, N.C.

The team finished with a 6 and 6 record.  The team was led by reigning Rookie of the year and All Conference Player Amaree Durfee.  She bowled 8 consecutive 200 games with a high game of 221 and finished with an average of 198.5.  Junior Aasiaonnia Thomas bowled her highest game of 190 and finished with an average of 132.2.  The team's lone senior Deja Overby, who was recognized along with 23 other seniors at the event, bowled a high game of 206 and averaged of 161.1. Junior Kenya Mcleod came back from an knee injury earlier in the season to bowl a high game of 189 and an average of  169.5.  Newcomer Junior Paris Garris bowled a high game of 151 and averaged 116.4

The team finished with a divisional record of 21 and 15 to place third in the Division.  The conference record of 33 and 18 gives the team 2 consecutive winning seasons. The team is now set to participate in the Conference Championships as the fourth overall seed.  The championships will be held at AMF Lynnhaven in Virginia beach on March 23-24.
