The 32nd PGA Minority Collegiate Golf Championship was contested at the PGA Golf Club in Port Saint Lucie, Fla., on Friday through Sunday, May 11-13, 2018. The tournament field consisted of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and other Minority Servicing Institutions.

VUU finished 3rd in the DII Division and 9th overall among all team including 9 DI, 7 DII and 2 NAIA Teams. Team scoring was led by Sergio Escalante with a 54-hole total 220 (76/73/71). Sergio was also the Division II Medalist. Sergio was followed by Allan Day 228 (79/75/74), Robel Woldagabriel 228 (77/76/75), Paul Meints 257 (89/87/81).
"This was a great finish considering this tournament represented the 108th holes of competitive golf over the last eight days, including the NCAA D2 Regional Championship," said VUU Head Golf Coach E. Lee Coble. "The team was definitely playing on tired legs and as they have demonstrated all season, they never give up. While this is not a part of our CIAA Championship segment it is a very special championship event that the team looks forward to playing. It is considered a signature event by all player and coaches. VUU finished atop of the CIAA teams that participated in this year's tournament. The PGA Minority Collegiate Championship continues to be a wonderful experience and a great ending to our Spring Golf Season"
