The Honorable Terry McAuliffe will be the keynote speaker at Virginia Union University’s 118th Commencement on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Virginia’s 72nd governor will address an expected crowd of more than 5,000 people on Hovey Field at 10:00 a.m. Approximately 350 undergraduate and graduate students will receive degrees.
The University’s Baccalaureate Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in Coburn Hall. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Corey D.B. Walker. Dr. Walker joins Virginia Union as Vice President and Dean of the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology on July 1, 2017. He is currently Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, Business, and Education and John W. and Anna Hodgin Hanes Professor of the Humanities at Winston-Salem State University.
