Hurricane Florence Update: VUU is now open for students to return to campus

Virginia Union University (VUU) reopens and classes will resume on Monday, September 17th. If you are a residential student, you are free to come back as long as the weather permits.

Hurricane Florence has been downgraded to a tropical depression by the National Weather Service. VUU will continue to monitor the storm and send updates by emergency alert, social media, email, and www.vuu.edu.

Sunday

A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Cloudy, with a high near 81. East wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Sunday Night

A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a low around 72. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Monday

Showers likely. Cloudy, with a high near 83. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
