Linnette Named CIAA Offensive Player of The Week

Virginia Union University's Shontel Linnette has been named the CIAA Offensive Softball Player of the Week, the CIAA announced on Wednesday, April 11.

Linnette, a senior from Norfolk, Va., hit three home runs in VUU's double-header sweep against Lincoln while also pitching a no-hitter. She also doubled in two runs in VUU's 10-3 win over Bowie State.

Virginia Union plays host to Elizabeth City State University at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the VUU Softball Field in Richmond, Va.
