Virginia Union University's men's cross-country team placed third at the CIAA Cross-Country Championships held on Thursday, October 25, in Salem, Va.
The men's team finished with 103 total team points, behind Virginia State University's 56 points and Saint Augustine's College's 86 points.
VUU's Enos Rotich, a freshman from Eldorak, Kenya, was the highest Panther finisher, placing fifth with a time of 28:01.4 over the eight-kilometer course.
Virginia Union's Anthony Wimbish and Charles Whitehead-Tillery also made the All-CIAA Team. Wimbish finished sixth with a time of 28:12.6 while Whitehead-Tillery was ninth with a time of 28:26.7
VUU's John Porter was 29th with a time of 31:16 and teammate Jordan Jones was 54th with a time of 34.52.
Virginia Union's Richard Lytle was 59th with a time of 35:55.5 and Zorion Wiley was 63rd with a time of 37:44.6.
