Virginia Union University's Demarius Pitts has been named the CIAA Rookie of the Year, the CIAA announced on Monday, February 25, in Charlotte, N.C.

Pitts became the first VUU men's basketball player to win the CIAA Rookie of the Year award since Ray Anderson in 2014.
