Dr. Jamal Watson Bio

Dr. Jamal Watson is a journalist and communications professional whose focus has been on higher education for more than two decades. A contributor to Diverse: Issues In Higher Education, Watson served the publication for many years as executive editor, senior staff writer, and most recently, editor-at-large.

Jarrett L. Carter Sr. Bio 

Jarrett L. Carter Sr. is the Founding Editor of HBCUDigest.com, an online daily news blog dedicated to coverage of historically black colleges and universities throughout the United States. He is also the host of 'Digest After Dark' on SiriusXM Radio Channel 142, a weekly program covering societal, cultural, and institutional issues at HBCUs.

Dr. Janelle L. Williams is the Associate Dean of Graduate & Continuing Studies at Widener University and a Visiting Scholar in the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. As a researcher and practitioner. Her most recent work explores the factors that influence the enrollment of Black undergraduates who chose to attend HBCUs and has been highlighted by the Center for Minority Serving Institutions, Diverse Issues in Higher Education, MSIs Unplugged, The HBCU Times, The New York Times and LA Times. Mrs. Angela Hayes

Angela Hayes is an accomplished public relations leader with extensive expertise in brand development, product lifecycle strategy, nonprofit fundraising, multi-cultural engagement, corporate social responsibility, and cause marketing. Hayes is a 27-year veteran of the communications industry. As the senior vice-president of   Diversity and Inclusion at Brodeur Partners, she provides strategic oversight of the organization’s plans to ensure inclusivity and reach diverse stakeholder groups. In this role, she leads accounts supporting various industries, including healthcare, nonprofit, governmental, and higher education. As a Forbes contributor and frequently sought-after conference speaker, she has published content related to creating a more inclusive society.
