Starling Named CIAA Rookie of the Week

Virginia Union University's Jada Starling has been named the CIAA Volleyball Rookie of the Week for the second straight week, the CIAA announced on Wednesday, September 5.

Starling, a freshman outside hitter from Dallas, Tex., had 32 kills in four matches this weekend, including 11 kills against Bloomsburg University.

Starling also collected 12 defensive digs against Grand Valley State University on Saturday, September 1.

VUU travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to compete in the CIAA Round-Up.  The Lady Panthers will play Livingstone College and Winston-Salem State University on Saturday, September 8, and will then face Johnson C. Smith University on Sunday, September 9.
