Students from MacVicar Hall have been moved to temporary off-campus housing. Transportation is being provided to and from campus every hour, on the hour from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. daily (until 11:00 p.m. Friday). Virginia Union University administrators and members from Residence Life and Housing are working to assess available permanent housing for the displaced students. They will each be notified, over the next few days, when new, permanent housing is available. To assist with the permanent relocation, we have retained a professional moving company to help the students with their personal belongings.
Virginia Union University is working with several professional services to evaluate the environmental conditions within the residence hall and to provide restoration services. They will also recommend and develop plans for full corrective/repair work that will provide healthy long-term facilities.
Our students are our top priority and we value their concern and feedback. It is our pledge to provide a healthy living environment that is conducive for academic success.
