Virginia Union Commencement Moved To The Saint Paul's Baptist Church Due To Inclement Weather Forecasts

Due to the forecasts for inclement weather, Virginia Union University’s Saturday, May 13th Commencement ceremonies will be held at The Saint Paul’s Baptist Church located at 4247 Creighton Road in Richmond, Virginia.  Tickets will be required to attend the event, which will begin at 10:00 a.m.  Graduating seniors should attend commencement rehearsal on Thursday May 11 at 1:30 p.m. in Coburn Hall for additional information regarding tickets.

     Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe is this year’s Commencement speaker.  Valedictorian honors will be shared by Nhat Hoang Van Le who holds a 4.0 grade point average with three majors (Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics), and Taylor Lauren White, an Interdisciplinary Studies:  Community-Based Education major, who also holds a 4.0 grade point average. 

     Baccalaureate services will remain in Coburn Hall on the Virginia Union campus on Friday, May 12.  Virginia Union University is located at 1500 North Lombardy Street.
