Virginia Union University (VUU) invites newly accepted students and those interested in enrolling for the fall to join them at its “Taking Care of Business” open house on June 27, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. in the Claude G. Perkins Living and Learning Center (LLC), 1500 North Lombardy Street. The open house is designed to assist students with completing financial aid, payment options, or filling out enrollment applications.

The ”Quest for the Best” is a nationwide search to identify the best students to attend VUU as freshmen in the fall of 2018. The campaign is not just to seek the best students academically, but to look for its next generation of leaders. VUU has already received over 8,000 applications, and plans to accept 500 students for fall enrollment. Those who attend are asked to bring transcripts, test scores, and a completed FAFSA application (VUU code 003766) prior to arrival. Campus and residential hall tours will also be available during the event.

VUU is a private, liberal arts institution located in Richmond, Virginia. Founded in 1865, this premier historically black university (HBCU) enrolls 1485 undergraduate and graduate students. VUU is committed to fostering academic success in a spiritually enriching environment. Educational opportunities include the liberal arts, education, business, criminal justice, social work, STEM, continuing education, and religious graduate study at the nationally recognized Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology. Student success is supported through research, state-of-the-art laboratories, and internships.
