Virginia Union University Appoints Dr. Charles Prince as Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management

Virginia Union University is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Charles Prince as Interim Vice President of Enrollment Management.  

“I am excited for our Enrollment Management team as our new leaders bring a wealth of knowledge to the university and ensure we operate on a “Best in Class” level,” said Dr. Hakim J. Lucas, President and CEO of Virginia Union University.  

Dr. Prince previously held the role of Associate Vice President of Research and Innovation in the Office of the President. He began his tenure at VUU in January 2022 and has prior experience in higher education institutions, both in the United States and the UK, where he focused on leadership and strategy. Dr. Prince earned his Doctor of Education in Global Executive Education from the University of Southern California, a Master of Educational Leadership and Human Development in International Education from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Composite Social Studies from Southern University.  

Virginia Union University is also pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Roderick Johnson as the Director of Financial Aid. Dr. Johnson brings over 10 years of financial aid experience to the university. He earned his Doctor of Education in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University, an MBA from Strayer University and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Memphis. Dr. Johnson will work alongside Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management, Victoria Nichols.
