Virginia Union University Celebrates Dean of Chapel Dr. Richard Price's Induction into Bishop Alfred G. Dunston College of Preachers

Virginia Union University is proud to announce the induction of its Dean of Chapel, Dr. Richard Price, into the prestigious Bishop Alfred G. Dunston College of Preachers. The ceremony, which took place on April 5, 2024, honored Dr. Price's dedication and contributions to preaching and religious education. 

Dr. Price, a respected figure in the Panther community and beyond, has demonstrated a deep commitment to spiritual growth, mentorship, and the art of preaching. His leadership as Dean of Chapel at Virginia Union University has inspired countless individuals and has played a significant role in shaping the spiritual life on campus. 

The Bishop Alfred G. Dunston College of Preachers recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence in preaching, teaching, and ministerial leadership. Dr. Price's induction into this esteemed institution is a testament to his tireless efforts in advancing the practice of preaching and nurturing the spiritual development of others. 

In accepting this honor, Dr. Price expressed gratitude for the recognition and credited his faith, mentors, and the university community for their unwavering support throughout his career. 

The induction ceremony was attended by esteemed guests, faculty members, students, and community leaders, who gathered to celebrate Dr. Price's achievements and to honor his commitment to the ministry. 

"I am deeply honored to be a part of the inaugural class, recognizing the role of Historical Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and the Black church in saving my life," said Dean of Chapel Dr. Richard Price. "I am committed to fulfilling the great debt of love I owe."
