Virginia Union University is proud to announce that the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology (STVU) is ranked as the number one producer of African American graduates. In addition, STVU is ranked as the number two producer of Native American and total minority graduates. The rankings announced on the Top 100 Degree Producers released by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education. “VUU’s graduate degree programs have long been a popular enrollment choice for religious scholars. We are grateful to receive the recognition that VUU and STVU deserve. This award signifies the progress we, as a university, are making to become recognized as a “Best-in-Class” institution.”

The annual ranking from Diverse: Issues in Higher Education lists the Top 100 producers of associate, bachelors and graduate degrees awarded to underrepresented students. The results are compiled from analysis based on the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System results, collected by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Center for Education Statistics.
