Virginia Union University has announced Ms. Kiesha L. Pope as the new Director of Financial Aid

Beginning June 18th, Pope will serve in a key leadership position within the Division of Enrollment Management & Student Affairs. She will provide the overall management and strong leadership necessary for the effective administration of the University’s undergraduate and graduate student financial services and scholarship programs. Pope will be responsible for the administration of federal, state, and institutional financial aid.

Pope brings to Virginia Union University over 19 years of financial aid experience. Ms. Pope began her career at Virginia Commonwealth University where she worked her way through the ranks from customer service representative to Associate Director. She also served as Director of Financial Aid at Reynolds Community College for 11 years where she was responsible for overseeing the administration of financial aid for all three campuses.

Ms. Pope earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from Virginia State University where she graduated valedictorian and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.
