Richmond, VA – [October 9, 2024] – Virginia Union University (VUU) is excited to announce its Homecoming Week scheduled for October 27 through November 2. This special week, with Amazon as the title sponsor, will unite alumni, students, faculty, and the community through exciting events showcasing Panther pride and honoring VUU's rich history.
As part of this milestone celebration, Amazon will offer students unparalleled opportunities for career development, networking, and professional growth. These include hands-on workshops and a dynamic speaker panel featuring industry experts and proud VUU alumni such as Derrick Coles, Amanda Holder, Shay Moss, Dex Robinson, and Alexander Williams. This panel will provide invaluable insights into various industries, sharing their personal experiences and offering guidance on navigating the professional world. Additionally, on-site recruitment will allow students to connect directly with employers, making Homecoming not just a celebration, but a transformative opportunity for students to advance their careers and secure their futures.
To elevate this years' experience, on October 22 and 24, Amazon will bring the vibrant VUU fanfare to one of its local sites, showcasing the energy and spirit of Virginia Union University. This unique event will feature prominent members of the VUU community, allowing the Amazon team to experience firsthand the pride, passion, and rich legacy of our university.
