[RICHMOND – October 14, 2022] — Virginia Union University is announcing new leaders in its academic and administrative teams.

Joe Brooks serves as the Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement at VUU. For 25 years, Brooks has led as Vice President of Community Impact at United Way in South Hampton Roads, Vice President of Partnership Management at ACCION Opportunity Fund, and Vice President of JP Morgan Chase Bank Retail Branch Channel.

As Assistant Vice President for Institutional Advancement, Brooks plans to increase contributions to the university through private-sector corporate donors and major gift donors from individuals. "I look forward to working with the IA team and broader VUU team to excite the greater Richmond community regarding the university's progress."
