Virginia Union University will offer a seven-week Healthcare Management Certificate Program during summer 2021. The program is in partnership with the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation and is designed to meet the growing demand for healthcare workers. It is offered through a collaboration with VUU’s Sydney Lewis School of Business, the School of Arts and Sciences, and VUU Global.
The certificate program will run from June 1, 2021 – July 15, 2021. The healthcare management curriculum will provide a short-term, low-cost program that will offer specialized training to help students develop usable, transferrable workplace skills in the healthcare profession. Eligible students must be residents of Richmond, Virginia. There are no pre-requisites or other healthcare courses required for admission. Each accepted student will receive a $1500 scholarship and a laptop. Students will also be assigned a mentor who will ensure they complete the program and acquire access to employment opportunities.
