[RICHMOND - April 28, 2023] — Virginia Union University is announcing new leaders in its academic and administrative teams.

Dr. Robin R. Davis is the newly appointed Associate Vice President of Entrepreneurship and Executive Dean of the Sydney Lewis School of Business. Dr. Davis brings over 30 years of experience in business, economic development, and higher education. She has developed innovative graduate and undergraduate programs at Virginia Union University. Under Davis' leadership, the first inaugural Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) program graduated in May 2022. In addition, Davis has raised over a million dollars for the Sydney Lewis School of Business through program development and corporate foundation funding.
Recently, Davis conducted a two-year research study on "Cultural Intelligence (CI)" presented to more than 1,000 business faculty and administrators at the National Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Conference in Washington, DC. through the Global Education Committee (GBE) which she served on for the past three years representing Region 2 for ACBSP. Davis serves on the Advisory Board of the Women's Business Center of Richmond, the National Board of Sigma Nu Tau Entrepreneurship Honor Society and the Editorial Board of the Center for Scholastic Inquiry. She is also a member of the American Business Women's Association. Previously, Davis served as an Associate Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Claflin University and Executive Director of the Rural Crossroads Institute at the South Carolina Department of Commerce.
Dr. Davis is certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt and is certified in Operational Excellence & Flow Master. Dr. Davis is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated, and contributes to various community-based organizations across the nation.
